The courses are held outdoors. In inclement weather, work can be done under a canopy or tent. Both beginners* and advanced students are welcome to participate in all courses/summer weeks *with the exception of the machine-based Saturdays. Sufficient basic hand tools are available. Consumables such as sandpaper, grinding stones, and machine sanding and grinding discs are not provided. You must also purchase your own stone; experience has shown that every student prefers a specific type of stone for their project. The instructor can advise you on stone selection and arrange a consultation visit to the Sculpture Shop in Voorburg or Soest.

Various techniques and imaging will be discussed at different stages.

In Utrecht we work in groups of 8 to 10 people, elsewhere in groups of up to 12 people.
